A Simple Way to Stop Mindless Midnight Munching

Habit #6: Brush my teeth early

I eat a healthy dinner, usually. There is Friday night fish and chips but I’m only in England for a few years, Covid took away a lot of the traveling and exploring of the British experience I was planning, so I’m giving myself a pass on that weekly indulgence.

It’s the late-night snacking I want to cut out. It isn’t about hunger, it doesn’t help me sleep better, and I rarely make a healthy choice so it needs to go.

By the end of the day, my willpower is fading fast. So I’m going to employ a life hack I heard somewhere and brush my teeth as soon as I’m finished with eating for the day rather than waiting for bedtime.

I’ll enjoy that fresh mouthed feeling during the evening, and the lingering minty taste will remind me the kitchen is closed until breakfast.
