Finding a good writer amongst the ranks of engineers is a slightly more challenging task than in a crowd of say, journalists, but when you do run across one treasure the moment and follow immediately.

I’ve been following Allison for a while and like most of my follows I’ve read a smattering of what she posts, mostly whatever the algorithm throws my way. I follow a lot of excellent writers, which means I miss a lot which is, after all the whole point of my 30-day challenge.

So it’s a real treat to dive into a somewhat familiar writer and find tons of great stuff. As the parent of two daughters with serious tech bents, I really love her stories of being a woman in a male field. She also addresses issues of race and more. And she does it all engagingly, with honesty, and precision crafting of words.
