Been there and done that. Your story resonates with me. For my three kids at this stage the decision got made when the piano teacher moved away and we somehow never quite found a new one. Now as young adults they lament the fact that they weren't willing to push through and become skilled but all three are empathic that they are glad I let them stop when they wanted to. It's such a struggle making these decisions isn't it.
