When I find a writer who tackles social justice issues with research, personal experience, and a strong writing voice, I’m in. Casira Copes ticks all those boxes and more.

Her bio tells me she is a Black Bisexual Feminist. I’m only one out of the three so I’m interested to hear her take on things. A deep dive into her work as part of my look at a different writer every day for a month was a great experience.

Once again, my challenge is choosing which stories to highlight. This woman has range and I love that. I’ll start with the first one I stumbled across, share a few more, then let you read through her entire back catalog like I intend to do as I find the time.

Because I write about social justice concepts, tending more towards race and Black identity, I get a lot of questions from white people specifically.
