Danielle Loewen is a Master Wordsmith
Writer profile #13 in my 30 day reading challenge
Have you ever come across a writer with a bajillion followers and you say to yourself, “Why is this person so popular? Their writing isn’t all that.” The opposite occurs as well. You run across someone whose writing is so good you can’t imagine how they aren’t raking in the views and follows and shooting to the stratospheric heights, or at least whatever passes for such online.
Why aren’t all their stories viral? You rail at the heavens shaking your fist. Sure, part of your angst is the sheer injustice of rewarmed claptrap grabbing all the eyeballs and filling all the feeds, but there is also a tiny bit of you saying, “If someone who writes this well hasn’t immediately shot to writing stardom, this means I won’t either. I’m going to have to continue to keep writing, put it out there in the world, learn, grow and slowly build a base of people who like my writing.”
Danielle Loewen is one of those writers who provokes this reaction in me. Her writing is fantastic. This woman has depth and range from fiction to essay to poetry to lyrical writing which moves and thrills me. She does humorous, serious, and sexy. She loves words and wields them with precision to create works of art.
