Reflections on habit #28 in my journey

Examine and marvel at a plant every day. Yup, I was officially running out of ideas and scrapping the bottom of the barrel when I came up with this habit.

My reaction to putting a plant appreciation habit into practice was much like my sunset habit. I love plants and find a lot of joy in studying them, noticing them, slowing myself down, and being mindful. But trying to force this into a daily habit took all the joy away.

I’m scrapping plant examination as a daily habit and instead trying to naturally include time to smell the roses and marvel at the intricacy of weeds and wildflowers as well as formal gardens.

19 out 28 habits and counting.
