Frankly yes. But not because there's anything wrong with your story. It's well-written, nicely organized, relatable, and makes some excellent points.

I think the problem is the subject matter. People were open to having conversations about how coronavirus was changing the world a year ago but very few people want to talk about it now.

The vast bulk of the Western world at least is trying hard to pretend that coronavirus barely exists.

Many people have had these conversations and written about some of these issues although you don't see as much of it now as we used to. I think you need to have a really strong and unusual angle to break through the Covid exhaustion and get people to pay attention.

Sometimes good stories don'ttakeofff because the timing just isn't right for them. The best thing to do I find is not to worry about any one story too much and justmove onntoo the next.
