How I Completely Cured My Needle Phobia in Only One Day

Warning: my method was a little drastic and definitely not for everyone

It took years for my needle phobia to grow. It took one day to cure it.

I’m happy to share my method with any other needle phobics out there but I have to warn you. Following through requires serious commitment.

All you need to do is give birth. It worked for me.

I had a needle phobia for the first three decades of my life. I would worry for weeks leading up to an occasion when I knew a shot was coming. Usually, there was crying. Sometimes there was kicking and screaming. I definitely needed to lie down if blood was going to be drawn well.

Most kids hate getting shots but my hatred grew during my elementary school days in the Philippines. Three times a year we got shot during the school day. In the fall and spring, it was a cholera/typhoid jab and in the middle of the year, there was a TB test.

We knew the shots were coming but we never knew when. You’d be in class learning something critical to success in adult life like subject-verb agreement when someone would poke their head in the door.
