I agree with all our your self assessment. For tags I would have included something popular life or lifehacks maybe.

The biggest problem is that this reads like a blog from several years ago. Which makes sense since it was. I was a heavy blog reader back in the day and this would fit perfectly into the sort of blog I loved to follow. Someone sharing their everyday experiences in a relatable, informative and sometimes useful way. I'd get to know someone through their blog over time and care about their day to day life.

I know some people call Medium blogging but it feels very different to me. Each piece has to stand alone and daily experiences don't do as well unless tightly crafted with clear takeaways or an emotional journey.

I think this would have done better if it is was more tightly focused on the advice. Pick just one story of being stuck and highten the drama. Let's say you choose the neighbor, did she have a toddler stuck in the car, a pot roast likely to burn in the oven at home, kids who will be arriving by school bus and locked out of the house.
