I can see how farming would be similar to child rearing. And if she's like my mom there is no fobbing off partway solutions like, "Here's a pot Mom. You can grow tomatoes." She wants the whole farm, her farm. My mom doesn't want a doll, or supervised visits to a preschool, she wants her kids back, the ones who aren't kids anymore and have moved on to their own lives.
