I love this. I'm American living in England and volunteering in the local shop. Yesterday an actor asked to hire me to practice his American accent with him since my American accent is "perfect."

We also lived in England when my kids were little and when we left they held on to saying "whilst" for over a year. I loved to hear them say it so much that while I warned them about the whole "rubber" and "eraser" thing I never wanted "whilst" to go.
