I struggle when I hear stories of people who's dementia manifests this way.

…ore my mother developed dementia, it didn’t seem a bad way to spend the final stages of one’s life. I pictured a peaceful older person, permanently stuck in their happiest and healthiest younger years. Perhaps this is what dementia is like for some. For my mom, it was a Hitchcock film.
