I think it’s kind of like removing your family photos when you put your house on the market.

…rs. I want them to find everything in my writing that matters. And that means keeping things vague. If I’m too precise, my readers won’t be able to see themselves in my stories. They’ll get lost in details that aren’t relevant to their lives.
