I wish it were. Now that I do the math, it was really about 25 years ago but I doubt that changes your point. You are right that the situation is very analogous to how the church reacts to LGBTQ issues. It's breaking my heart.

I'm still a Christian. As I'm sure you know, affirming, anti-racist churches are there but you have to search for them and if people would just read, understand and follow the God of the Bible, it would be all of them. A story for another day I suppose. Always good to chat with a fellow preacher's kid.
