I first came across Patrick Metzger while reading Fictions in my last 30-day challenge. He fit perfectly into my goal for this challenge as a writer whose work intrigued me and I wanted to read more when I had time.

Patrick writes humor, personal essays, intelligent pieces on social issues, and fiction in a variety of genres. He also makes good use of the new lists feature which makes it easier to find the type of writing you are most interested in.

Here are some of my favorites:

While Dr. Jones has remarkable mental acuity for a man of 122, and stories of his adventures never fail to entertain the other residents, we recognize that some of his behaviors have been disruptive to the community.

One of the things I enjoyed in Patrick’s writing is his ability to ask a what if question and run with it. He holds to the premise and runs with it hilariously.
