I have a profound weakness for a profile pictures with gray hair. Silver strands scream life experiences to me. I have seen and done things in my life and learned lessons the hard way, gray locks shout. Maybe it’s because my own head is starting to sport more than just a random gray hair here and there. I see my future and want to embrace it positively since I can’t stop aging if I tried.

In any case, if I come across a gray-haired profile picture, I like to stop and check out their stories. I don’t necessarily think old people are wiser than young people. I read and enjoy a lot of younguns too. But I think we as a society have moved away from revering the wisdom of our elders and that’s a crying shame.

Sheryll James had me at her profile pict. How could I resist that charming gray bob, slightly tilted head and glasses? Much more importantly her writing didn’t disappoint me. Here’s her tagline:
