Spooky! You had me captivated from beginning to end. I think your problem here is title and publication. Putting your work in a publication will give it more visibility.

The title needs to drag people in. "What the heck are hypnopompic hallucinations?' with a subtitle of "And can I get rid of them?"

That's just one idea. I'm not great at titles myself but I do know they matter a lot. You need to compel people to click.
