Thanks for sharing your experiences. I think there are so many white people who don't recognize their own racism until their kids and dating are involved. We need to stop making excuses for this and own it for what it is. Parents who object to their child dating someone of another color are not primarily concerned about their child getting hurt. They are concerned about what other people will think.
