Thanks so much Mrs. Capricious. I really appreciate your thoughts. Thank you so much for pointing out my error on transwoman. I've fixed it. I did have a trans woman read over my draft before I published but we both missed it. Yikes!

I also appreciate your points on detranistioners. You are absolutely correct of course. I really struggle with how deep to going in writing about that without derailing the main focus of my story but I think you are right. Retransitioners need to be heard. And this whole fear of detranistioners are a big big part of the argument anti-trans advocates use against allowing children to transition so it is highly relevant.

I removed the word choose, and added a paragraph about retransitioners. I would greatly appreciate your feedback on whether you think I've got it right.
