The best part of going through autism diagnosis for our 17 year old was the parent interview when the clinician kept asking us, did your child display this unusual behavior as a young child and we invariably reply with a puzzled look saying something like, well yes but all childen do that, so did we as children, it isn't unusual at all. Turns out we are a very neurodiverse family.
