There are a lot of really cool thoughts and observations in your story. I think it could be improved with a little attention to formatting and proofreading.

Medium has certain formatting standards which vastly increase your odds of distribution. Put your title into title case which mean capitalizing most words. There are numerous free tools on the web which do the job.

Always add a subtitle. It's a second chance to grab a reader's attention.

Your story would look more polished and be easier to read if you have taken each of your seven points and put them in heading case. To do this while in edit mode just highlight the point then choose either the large T or smaller T from the pop up menu.

These changes will make your story look nicely formatted.

Also I would add an introduction. If I hadn't come to the story through SSC I would have been wondering the whole time why you didn't have a phone anymore.
