There is new leadership in Washington D.C. and like most of the country and the rest of the world, I’m breathing a huge sigh of relief. Already there are so many signs that competent adults are now in charge and change is coming. We’ve had a press briefing with questions asked and answered minus childish insults or outrageously obvious lies. Executive orders have been issued to counteract harmful orders from the previous administration. People who never should have been hired have been fired.

Still, there is a long way to go to bring healing and a healthy regard for the rule of law and upholding the constitution. The Democrats may hold the presidency, house, and senate but only by a narrow margin. They will need to work together and reach out to the other side as well.

So it seems like a good time to highlight this piece I wrote just after the election.
