This article resonates with me. We can accept, celebrate and still there's that tiny ache of the world we thought was going to be but isn't. ONe thing that helps me is I have three children and I have the same experience to a lesser extent with the others as well. I thought my eldest was a going to remain a huge reader like me and into adulthood we'd discuss books. Nope. She likes podcasts. So I adjust. Doesn't mean I love her less, but its a tiny twinge from time to time.
