This is a brilliant idea Roz. I've been writing here since Oct. 2020. I'm now at 1.3K followers and post a story almost every day, sometimes more than one. What can I say. It's my main hobby and I have the time. My financial goal was and is to make enough by the time I move back to the states in a year to not feel guilty about not going back to a real job. Luckily my standards are really low and I haven't really pursued writing for money outside Medium yet. So I have room to ramp up money wise is what I'm telling myself.

Round about March almost everything I wrote started getting distributed. Since then I've made between $135-$325 each month not counting the bonuses all of which I got. I only have one story that has topped $100, about my colonoscopy, but a few others are slow burners that might reach those heights. The vast bulk of my stories earn well under $5. In short, I care about the money, I'm paying attention, but it is not and likely will not be my primarily motivation.
