This is a great article. I'm stumped with why it wasn't distributed. Maybe just because you were earlier on at Medium and they don't curate new writers at nearly the pace of established ones it seems to me.

One thing you could add is links. Medium likes links and most of my best performing articles have them. For example, link to the Beatles ashram.

I would add an introduction.

There's so much good information in here. I think revisiting the topic is a great idea. You could tighten it up a bit. I don't know if you are better off reworking this article or just writing a new one with the same topic. You could put a lot of work into the old one and never have it seen would be my fear.
