This is beautiful. Thanks for sharing your story. When my dad was dying I spent hours searching the internet for stories about people's last days/hours as if that would somehow prepare me. As you know, nothing prepares you but stories like this did help. A lot. Your mom was pretty much textbook close to death (sleeping all the time, not eating, reaching out to people who aren't there physically). I wish you all the best in this dance no one want to do.
