This is exactly the kind of story I love to get on Story Second Chances, something I never would have read but greatly enjoyed.

The reason I never would have read it is your problem here I think. I've never seen the movies and you told me in your first sentence that you weren't writing for me.

Why turn away readers like me? What you wrote was still highly understandable and relevant even if you never saw the movie.

You really get going strong in the second half. I would have moved some of that up earlier and tightened up the intro. Delete anything that doesn't feed into your cetnral premise.

It really was an interesting read. I'm sorry it didn't get curated. That is frustrating.
