Where Are They Now? Checking in on 30 Medium Writers I Profiled 3 Years Ago
Who hit it big on Medium, who left for greener pastures, and who faded away
Sometimes you find a great writer before everyone else does. This person is going places or at least would be if the world was fair.
Three years ago I decided to spend a month highlighting a different Medium writer each day. I wanted to signal boost writers I loved in hopes they would go on to delight others for a long time to come.
I had three criteria in choosing: under 2.5K followers, active, and writing stories I found interesting.
Some of the writers are still showing up in my email inbox and for you tab on the regular. Others I haven’t noticed in a long time. Do they write elsewhere, aren’t favored by the latest boost policies, or give up writing all together?
Where are my hand picked 30 now? It’s time to find out.
