Yeah, what your friends don't tell you is about the time their kid spells out "I hate you" using her dirty socks. True story, I've been meaning to write it up.

I do not understand why we act like everyone should have kids. Don't have kids if you don't desperately want to. Sure if you fall pregnant you might find out you want to after all but parenting is not for the faint of heart. As far as being lonely in old age, I'll just say that my favorite uncle and aunt where childless. They were the only adults with time to spend with me. Be that aunt to your friends' kids when they get past those totally exhausting early years.
