You have some good content in there and I really like the humor sprinkled through out. The message is an important one and an everygreen one.

The opening is your weakest part I think. I don't know what writing challenge you are referring to and chances are I wouldn't care if I did know. People click away so quickly you want to grab attention right off the bat.

Maybe in keeping with the tone of the rest of your piece something like, "There I am, minding my own business trying to write about visibility, when the Demi Lovato video my daughter is playing jumps up and knocks me over the head. "I'll show you visibility" it says. Just a thought.
